Social Media & Online Behaviour

We want all our players, parents, and carers to enjoy fun football sessions in Rochdale both on and off the pitch — including our website, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms — in a positive and respectful way. To make sure everyone feels safe and welcome, we follow The FA’s Social Media Guidelines.

Your Responsibilities

As a member of Kickstarz, you are expected to follow The FA Rules & Regulations regarding anything you post online about:

  • Kickstarz

  • Our coaching staff

  • FA-registered officials

  • Leagues and competitions

  • Other players, parents, or supporters

What is NOT acceptable

It is against both Kickstartz and FA rules to post anything that is — or could be perceived as —:

  • Offensive or insulting

  • Abusive or threatening

  • Racist, sexist, or discriminatory

  • Harmful to another person’s reputation or wellbeing

Any such comment made on websites or social media platforms could result in:

  • Disciplinary action under The FA’s Disciplinary Policies and Procedures

  • Legal action for threatening, abusive, racist, or defamatory remarks

  • Civil claims if comments are untrue or damaging

Keeping Safe Online

Parents, guardians, and carers are encouraged to review guidance from the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre. They provide up-to-date advice for safe online behaviour, both for children and adults.

If you ever have concerns about online content or interactions relating to Kickstarz, contact our Club Welfare Officer immediately.
