Information for Parents & Guardians

At Kickstarz, your child’s safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment are our top priorities. To help us deliver the best possible experience at our football coaching sessions in Rochdale, we ask all parents and guardians to be aware of the following:

1. Health & Medical Information

  • You must let us know about any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or injuries your child has before they attend their first session.

  • Inform us of any medication they are currently taking and whether it needs to be available during sessions.

  • If your child’s health or medical needs change, please update us immediately.

  • In case of injury or illness during a session, we will contact you using the emergency details you provided. Please ensure these are always up to date.

2. Attendance & Punctuality

  • Arrive on time for drop-off and collection.

  • Let us know if your child is unable to attend or will be late.

3. Appropriate Clothing & Equipment

  • Ensure your child arrives in suitable sportswear and football boots/trainers.

  • Bring a labelled water bottle to every session.

  • Shin pads are required for matches and strongly recommended for training.

4. Behaviour & Respect

  • We expect all players to follow our Respect Code of Conduct at all times.

  • Parents and spectators should also model respectful behaviour from the sidelines.

5. Communication

  • For general updates, we use SMS and email.

  • Please allow a 24-hour “cooling off” period before raising concerns about matches or training to ensure constructive conversations.

  • Direct any safeguarding or welfare concerns to our Club Welfare Officer.

6. Emergencies

  • In rare cases where urgent medical attention is required, we may arrange treatment before parents arrive, following standard safeguarding procedures.

By working together, we can ensure your child’s football journey is safe, positive, and full of growth.
